The quick take

Q45 has the higher published battery durations. Space One deserves attention for its daily workflow, but verify codec and multipoint behaviour before deciding.

Manufacturer information informs the product details; the buying analysis is our own. This is not a hands-on test.

Compare like-for-like listening hours

The manufacturers list up to 40 hours with ANC enabled for Space One and 50 hours for Q45. With ANC off, their stated figures are 55 and 65 hours respectively. These are published maxima with conditions, not our own results. The difference is relevant when charging opportunities are scarce, but it does not prove either will last that long in every routine.

A commuter charging regularly may never use the additional margin. A traveller spending several days between convenient sockets may value it more. Translate the difference into the time between your actual charging opportunities. That is a better way to evaluate it than declaring the larger figure automatically worth any price difference.

Do not combine one model’s standard-mode claim with the other’s ANC claim. Also avoid assuming calls, high-quality codecs and every other setting leave duration unchanged. Write down the mode you expect to use. Once the comparison uses a consistent scenario, the battery figures become a planning aid rather than an advertising contest.

Device switching can outrank audio badges

If your phone and computer share the listening day, investigate the supported multipoint setup on each exact model and firmware. The presence of two paired devices does not mean two audio streams are mixed together. Calls, media and connection priority can produce interruptions that matter more in practice than a codec label.

Space One’s manufacturer FAQ explicitly separates multipoint pairing from LDAC mode. A buyer who needs that workflow should understand the trade-off early. Do not transfer the behaviour to every soundcore product automatically; check the relevant model instructions. Shared brand names do not guarantee identical software limits.

For a single-device listener, codec support may be more relevant. Both ends of the connection need to support the chosen format. A phone that cannot send it will not gain that ability from the headphones. Start with the devices already in your life before imagining an ideal signal chain you may never use.

Fit and carrying arrangements are not interchangeable

Product families can look similar in photographs while fitting differently. Ear shape, glasses and pressure tolerance vary, and a comfortable short session does not prove a comfortable afternoon. We have not compared physical fit here. Treat trying them, or having suitable return conditions, as part of the buying process rather than an optional luxury.

Check the exact carrying accessory in the offer. A pouch and a protective case create different bag routines, but packages can change by region or seller. Neither is universally preferable: a case may protect better while occupying more space. Match the arrangement to your bag and how frequently the headphones travel.

Think about controls with your hands occupied. Identify how to pause, change noise mode and answer a call on the actual product. An app offers useful personalization but should not be the only thing you understand. A model that is straightforward on your usual journey can be more satisfying than one with an elaborate menu you seldom open.

Make two shortlists, then resolve the tie

List your essential conditions first: fit, supported phone connection, required noise controls and carrying space. Eliminate an unsuitable model even if its battery looks attractive. Then list preferences such as additional runtime or a particular app feature. This prevents an optional advantage from masking a basic mismatch.

Compare the complete current offer when you eventually purchase, including new-product condition, package, local support and final price. This page deliberately does not freeze a discount or call either model the cheaper choice. A temporary offer can change, and a bundle can make apparently similar prices refer to different contents.

Choose Q45’s direction when its documented travel margin and arrangement suit you; choose Space One’s direction when its complete daily setup is the better fit. Without a controlled listening test, we will not declare a universal sound or cancellation winner. The more useful conclusion is which set of trade-offs you would rather live with.
